What about women?  E-mail
In a letter, a reader explains that Shmirta Habrit is also an issue affecting women. While the challenges are different than those facing men, they are also powerful. and need to be understood.

It seems none of the material on this tikkunhabrit.com is aimed at women. This is very important as the problems will be very different for women and will require very different language and approach from that appropriate for men. Also some of the insights could be surprising. For example, the Ben Ish Hai z'l writes that women's emissions are a bit similar to mens and I imagine few women are aware of this. Also, my wife told me that she read in the excellent Modesty book by Rav Falk shlita that women should also guard their eyes that even for them to see other women unclothed has a negative spiritual effect. Such points might help women see that tikkun habrit is not just a "men problem" where men "need to get their act together" - and so prevent women from reacting negatively chas veshalom to tznius by saying it is all just a men problem - that men have to guard their eyes but women should be able to do and dress as they like - chas veshalom!

Another way this site for women could help is a wife is supposed to be a wall for her husband protecting him against immorality, chas veshalom. Women need to be strengthened in this - they need to be told that it is their role, and that they they should find sensitive womanly ways to guide their husbands in the right direction such as gently but firmly discussing having some kind of family internet access rules including filtering, and encouraging their husbands to go to the mikveh. They could also be encouraged to beautify themselves (just for their husbands, at home) so that their husbands are drawn to think about them - they should perhaps be told such beautification is not at all vanity, chas veshalom, on the contrary it is the holy work done by their fore-mothers in Egypt (whose 'vanity' mirrors for beautification were completely accepted by Hashem as very appropriate and holy as they had good holy intentions). I believe every husband desires far more than any other woman else his wife beautifully and attractively made up at the right time and this surely pleases the Shechinah greatly. The power of this site for women could be enormous. The gemara says that a good woman can make a bad man good. In addition it is essential that such a site for women stress the beautiful world of tznius to attract women to be more tznius. It may be worth mentioning that tznius is the flip side of tikkun habrit and it is one powerful way women can contribute to what is perhaps the greatest test of this generation - people being shomer habrit.

(While on this topic of tznius - it is also an issue for men, and it would be good to have a page about it on tikkunhabrit.com - tznuis would surely help men have protection and help them slowly integrate into the the fortresses of kedusha that are the charedi world and charedi learning as they see the beauty of tznius in the 'strict' dress code and the 'quiet' but deep way of living.)
